This is, of course, from around the time Linchpin was coming out. It sounds like Linchpin. It also reveals why people respond so poorly to a micromanager. None of us survives by constantly doing what we are told. We survive by innovating, creating, exploring, learning, and growing.
Waiting around for your boss to tell you every move is acting like a robot or a coffee maker.
